All of our fun friends that could join us for the fun day!

This was our second annual Valentine's Day Cookie Decorating event!!! It was so fun, this year we doubled our friends because most of them brought a brother or sister. Haha!! Over all everyone ate a ton of sugar and then we let them go outside and run it all off. They were cute not sure what to do when you get to finally make a mess with your food. Brinley loved eating all the frosting and Whitaker loved dumping all the sprinles on his cookie!

Where was Creighton - just hanging out and enjoying the fresh air after everyone was done with their cookie!!!

President Obamas first 100 days in Office

This is from a www.general.org - and I thought it was very informative on what is taking place in our government. I wish I had more time to find this information out on my own but I don't so I get it from other website sights - check it out!!! Very sad to hear what the President is about to overturn!!! Keep praying that our President's heart will be turned around.

From Cindy Jacobs at generals.com

Dear Intercessors,

We are at a critical juncture of history in America. I must say that for me it is a bittersweet moment. On the one hand, I have longed for an African American president to heal the land. (I also want to one-day see an Asian, Hispanic, and other ethnicities as well.) On the other hand, there are serious challenges ahead of us on biblical grounds.

I strongly feel that we must stay on the wall during this time of transition, therefore, we are calling for a concerted prayer effort for our new President, his cabinet, and the new administration. The first 100 days of a new administration sets the course for what will unfold over the term of the presidency.

Last week, we sent a newsletter to our United States Reformation Prayer Network, alerting them to several new White House Policies that were posted to the official www.whitehouse.gov website on President Obama's first day in office. I checked the sections labeled Civil Rights and Women's Rights, and was grieved at what was posted. Here are just a few of the points:

  1. Support for the LGBT Community (lesbian/gay/bi-sexual/transgender)
  2. Expanded hate crimes bills. These are the type of bills that stop all "hate speech", such as pastors preaching against homosexuality from their pulpits.
  3. Support of Full Civil Unions and Federal Rights for LGBT Couples
  4. Opposition to a constitutional ban on same-sex marriage
  5. Repeal "Don't Ask-Don't Tell" policies in the military
  6. Expand adoption rights for same sex-same couples
  7. Expand human embryonic stem cell research, which destroys human embryos
  8. Opposition to any attempt to overturn Roe v. Wade
  9. Increased funding for birth control and abortions

Points 8 and 9 were cited as priorities under our new president's administration.

Some of you may already be familiar with these policies, but I am urging us all to set ourselves as watchmen on the wall in prayer for our nation, our new president, and his administration. Last weekend I read the book, The Faith of Obama by Stephen Mansfield. I truly believe that God is able to turn the heart of our President.

Already, however, the floodgates have been opened with this new administration that has said that it will, among other things, pass a Freedom of Choice bill that will undo all the pro-life laws across the nation. My friends, we have spent years praying with Lou Engle and theCall. I have been an advisor for these wonderful prayer events since they began in year 2000 and yet, we have not changed the nation.

Recently, I received information on what is being called "The Abortion Manifesto". This is a document that was presented to President Obama for use during his first 100 Days in Office. It is officially called Advancing Reproductive Rights and Health in a New Administration, and was signed by a list of heavy hitters such as the American Civil Liberties Union [ACLU].

Just last week, President Obama reversed the ban on the rescinded the Mexico City Policy, lifting restrictions previously placed upon non-governmental organizations from using federal funding received to perform abortions overseas. Yesterday, Congress approved the President's economic stimulus bill, which originally included hundreds of millions of dollars to fund the abortion industry. Nancy Pelosi, speaker of the House of Representatives, disgracefully endorsed this stimulus bill by arguing that reducing the birthrate and thereby, the costs associated with raising infants and children, will benefit the economies of states in financial distress. The funding for abortion provisions were eventually stripped from the stimulus package due to strong Republican opposition. Within the stimulus package remained, however, 2.7 billion to fund embryonic stem cell research. Pelosi also has a "plan B" in place for providing millions in funding to abortion groups; resurrecting a previously proposed bill entitled Prevention First Act [H.R. 819], which would not only fund abortions on demand, but would mandate abortion referrals.

Some of the suggestions contained in The Abortion Manifesto are already well under way according to the actions that our new administration has taken within its first two weeks in office. We must, however, diligently pray that God will intervene so that what is written in this Abortion Manifesto, as well as on the www.whitehouse.gov website under Women's Rights, will not be carried out any further.

Please scan these information sources and intercede diligently for our new president and his administration. The Abortion Manifesto | New White House Policies

We have also included a petition from The Family Research Council asking that Congress not require Christian taxpayers to fund abortion on demand or mandated abortion referrals. This is a crime against conscious! It is surprising how many believers in the nation do not understand that our government has already funded Planned Parenthood and other abortion giants with hundreds of millions of dollars in taxpayers' money. Click here to sign the petition-it's not too late!

This is our opportunity to step up to the plate and be a voice as well as pray. There comes a time when we need not only to pray, but also get up off of our knees and put feet to our prayers by using our voices and our pens.

Go on the web sites of your Representative in Congress and the Senate, and lovingly, but firmly, express your dismay for the direction in which the nation is being taken. You can also write the office of the President directly.

At the present time, about 30 states have a constitutional amendment in place stating to effect that marriage is defined as being between one man and one woman. This is being hotly contested, however, by judicial activism. It is a shock to think that millions of Americans could cast their votes and be a majority voice, only to find it co-opted by a handful of activist judges.

In addition, the moral fiber of this nation seems to be rotting. We are paying the piper for allowing our universities to be taken over by social activists. I am deeply grieved to think that my taxpayer money goes to fund courses on gay literature. The National Educator's Association of America [NEA] now funds the fight against biblical marriage in such states as California.

What are we going to do? Why aren't we informed? How has the Body of Christ fallen asleep at the wheel of the nation? We must ask ourselves these hard questions. The truth is that we have no one to blame but ourselves. The church must awaken and cry out against injustice in every form--both moral and social. We need to learn to pray, write, talk, coalesce, and be informed as never before.

With deep conviction as to the condition of the United States of America, I wrote the book, The Reformation Manifesto. According to The Great Commission, we are called to disciple and teach our nations about the word of God. We have for the most part, only taught ourselves in the church and, in some cases, not even done a good job at that.

So, what now? First of all, we need an informed prayer army. There are strongmen positioned in every sector of our society. They have been set in place for seventy years or longer and we are just seeing the fruit of their unholy revolution.

We cannot wait another year to move and raise up an army of reformers to change the nation. The enemy does not delay or count the cost. We must be pro-active and stop his advance for the sake of God's Kingdom.
