Happy Fourth of July

A letter from John Adams to his wife Abigail...
The second day of July, 1776, will be the most memorable epoch in the history of America. I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary festival. It ought to be commemorated as the day of deliverance, by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires, and illuminations, from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward forever more.

What another great Fourth of July hosted by KK and Pops with Family and good friends. All five of us, along with Lisa, KK, Johnny, Katie, Beth(Gayle and Greg's sister from Africa), Gayle, Bella, Saba, Wes and Ashley, Robert and Cathy came up to Prestonwood to swim, eat dinner and hang out till the Fireworks go off.

Then all of us took our seat to watch the explosion of fire in the air except for Whitaker and Daddy who quickly leave when they start. Whitaker has a huge fear of fireworks. He can name any place we have been that might have fireworks or even remotely sound like fireworks. So him and Greg quickly left the premises to the local sound proof booth, just kidding.

Creighton sat with me and loved them. Poor guy was up till 10:30 and lasted the whole time. This is the latest that boy as even been awake - he did great!!

Girls Night!! Lulu and Brinley went to a play

Brinley was so excited to spend the evening with LuLu (also pronounced yuyu). She took her to a children's play and she lasted for most of the time. Lisa did a good job of keeping food and drinks in her possession to keep Brinley busy! All very cute!!!

Pickin' at the Berry Patch

We did it!! We went Berry picking and we were lucky that is was only 90 degrees when we were there. That does not mean it was not hot, it was stinkin' hot but everyone had a blast! It was a fun activity and memories for the kids!
